Um...giant worms in South Shiverpeaks? As pets? I just saw a vision.
It was a vision of IWAY. With Giant Worms. My gosh.
What have you created?!

You know, I was thinking that. However, not capping anyone. Just the creatures you're supposed to kill. That would be awesome.

Even if everyone liked it, I highly doubt any action would be taken into it.

This'd be awesome, but it requires waaaaay too many exceptions.
Ranged creatures, white mantle, worms as was mentioned...
I'd rather have a Peaceful Devourer animal introduced.

Well, it just doesn't seem right that a ranger, the guy who deals with animals, can charm non-animals. I'm going to have to say "no" to this one. Now if you'll allow him to charm scarabs, turtles, etc.... that makes sense.

P.S. I'm going to edit the OP's post to emphasize that he's talking about the LOOK of the enemy, and NOT the kills and level and power and everything.

It would be kinda cool (I can just see IWAY with all White Mantle Zealots as pets *shutter*), but pretty ridiculous. Plus it would create a whole bunch of stuff like that. Worried about the mursatt monk THK boss? Just bring a ranger with no pet and charm animal to take it out.
Also, it would change the way EoE worked. EoE clumps all pets as being the same type of creature. That would get pretty confusing/wierd if your pet wasn't affected for killing a PvE creature with the exact same skin by EoE.

lol i did that by capping black Moa on one of the quests

it would be a great idea to get more pets that we can catch, ofcourse we can't take those exstreme size enemies or bosses, only those who aren't wurm large can be captured, bosses can't be captured and all the enemies will be resized to more suitable sizes and they will act 100% as any other pets, also you can't cap in mission. also the new pet would get down to lv.5 and max is 20 + it wouldn't be any better than any other pets.
and i wonder why people are talking about unbalanced....

I could see a variation of this work:
For birthdays, instead of getting a random minipet, you get a one use capture skill that can be used on (almost) any creature in the game. You receive the captured creature as a minipet.
Don't tell me it wouldn't be cool.
It will never happen though, unless someone pays A.Net a couple of mill to make it.
Still...

a pet bone dragon!! cooooolio!
And add a pet stable, so you can choose which captured pet to take at the tamer instead of permanently losing it. *drools* Although Í don't like pokemon, I do have that "gotta have em all" attitude...
